Cirkut cameras ( and Cirkut outfits ) are large format fully rotational panoramic cameras which were made between 1904 and 1941. They were used primarily for large group Portraits and cityscapes. They were made in 5”, 6”, 8”, 10” and 16” sizes. The dimensions refer to the film width. I use a no. 8 Cirkut and so all of my prints are 8” wide and up to 80” long. All Cirkut prints are contact prints and this results in an unusually high image quality. They were popular from around 1905 until the 1930’s .
